Elisabet Vives

About

I am Senior Project Manager and Researcher at LSE Consulting, where I also lead the Education, Youth and Civic Engagement (EYCE) Hub, and a doctoral student at the University of Edinburgh. My work, both in academia and in the professional world, focuses primarily on studying and improving the functioning of democratic institutions. I do so from diverse perspectives, such as political theory, empirical studies and programme and public policy evaluations.

Who I work with

I work with local, national and international public institutions, foundations and third-sector organisations that want to improve democracy through research and evidence. Recent clients and collaborators include the Scottish Parliament, the Electoral Reform Society, the European Commission, the British Council and Decidim.

Professional trajectory

I have been at LSE Consulting since 2018: Project Officer and Researcher (2018–2020), Project Manager and Researcher (2020–2024), and since 2024 Senior Project Manager and Researcher and Lead of the Education, Youth and Civic Engagement (EYCE) Hub. I combine consultancy with university teaching: teaching assistant at the University of Edinburgh (2023–2024) and lecturer at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya since 2025. Between September 2023 and June 2024 I also worked as a freelance consultant for Decidim, supporting fundraising and sustainability strategies.
